I hear you...

With so much noise in the health and wellness industry, it's hard to figure what will actually work for YOU. 

I'm sure you have tried all the trends and gadgets, but haven't seen the results you are looking for.  Maybe they worked temporarily, but for some reason bad habits always seem to creep their way back in.

Believe me, when I say, that I have been there before.  I get it, your trying something new, your excited!  This one is going to work and I'm going to stick with it! 

But somewhere along the line, you veer off course.  You think, oh it's not so bad, I'll start back up again on Monday.  Monday comes.  Oh, is it Monday already?  NO biggie. Let me get through this busy week and I'll get my s**t in order over the weekend.  Hello...it's Monday again!  It's a vicious cycle that keeps repeating itself until you have gotten so off course.  The longer you fall off course, the longer it takes to get back on.  Like I said, I HAVE BEEN THERE BEFORE, I TOTALLY GET IT!

Distractions are everywhere.  Excuses, well you know the saying, we all have them ;)

But how long are you willing to live with the burnout you are feeling, or lack of motivation that you just can't shake?

And I'm sure that your intentions are genuine. You do believe that you can pull yourself out of this downward spiral.  And you can!  But going at this alone can feel isolating.  Negative self talk creeps in when you are "not feeling it today".  Or maybe you second guess if this is the path you should be taking?  Maybe there is another way out there because I'm just not seeing the results I want?

Hey there, my name is Janene McCarthy and I am a Health & Wellness Coach, Certified from the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute.

I am a firm believer in Dr. Sears 4 pillars of health.  Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude and Nutrition.

So why did I choose to become a Health Coach?  Well this is two fold.  My entire life I always admired those who aged gracefully.  I was curious what their secret was.  Why do some have many ailments while others do not?  But what really pushed me into getting my certification is when I figured out how to pull myself out of my own parental burnout. 

This was a very dark, isolated time of my life and I honestly didn't think I would ever be able to climb my way out of it.  But I was determined and through much trial and error, I discovered that there was a missing link that I newly discovered and voila, it was like flipping a switch!  That's when I knew I couldn't keep this discovery to myself.

Over the years, I have done my own research on how nutrition and exercise can lead to a long, healthy, fulfilling life.  I hang on every word when reading or listening about how to make a difference in our own lives through nutrition, activity, mindfulness and how we live.  I want to share my knowledge of how we can all live long, healthy lives and get to the root cause of the imbalance within our bodies to find the energy needed to heal and flourish.

I am very passionate about the microbiome and gut brain axis.  Microbiome research has advanced by leaps and bounds in the past few decades and we are now just starting to learn about it.  The health of our microbiome (gut) is linked to many aspects of our health, including our weight and metabolism, our ability to fight off inflammation that can lead to major illnesses,  and control of our mental state.  We are learning that the microbiome is a main pillar of our health and there are many ways we can positively impact the health of our gut to maintain physical and mental balance within ourselves.
